Florent Bouhey-Fayolle

I am a third-year student in industrial design at the Ecal University of Art and Design and I was awarded second prize at the Invicta design competition in 2012. I have worked with Metylos since June 2012.

My design objectives vary according to the project, and the working method I developed with Metylos was to take a sheet of felt and create volume and shape with it. The result of this process is two lamps – Ornella and Sofia. One of them consists of two felt sheets which hold together via the use of a fold, and the other features a felt pattern which creates a volume which is cylindrical at the base and triangular at the top.

I am very pleased to have been able to meet and team up with Metylos.
